Transfer consultations are an opportunity to meet one-on-one with a Transfer Specialist who supports prospective and newly admitted transfer students through both the admissions and pre-advising process. These appointments are designed to help you plan a smooth transition to UMKC while gaining a clear understanding of how your previous coursework applies to your academic goals. 

Topics covered during your appointment include but aren’t limited to the following: 

• Admission requirements and application process 

• Scholarship opportunities 

• Unofficial transcript and transfer credit review 

• Academic program and major comparison 

• Course planning and estimated time to graduation 

• Next steps toward becoming a Roo 

If you would like to have an unofficial review of your transcript(s), please upload them when completing your registration form to provide a Transfer Specialist time to prepare for your meeting.
