School of Science and Engineering Transfer Consultations

      Transfer Consultations are offered in a virtual format via Zoom, allowing our students a more flexible and convenient way to get the information they need!

      Please note: this is NOT an academic advising appointment and admitted students should refer to  www.umkc.edu/advising to set up an academic advising appointment with their assigned advisor. 

      Topics addressed during a consultation and in follow up communication include, but are not limited to:
      • General information about your intended major
      • How your previous college credits fit into our degrees
      • Degree planning and timeline to graduation
      • Internship and career opportunities
      • SSE Scholarships 
      • What you can expect during the application and admission process
      • and more!
      It is extremely important for you to upload unofficial transcripts into the registration form when you schedule a transfer consultation. This will help us provide you with the most accurate information about your transfer to UMKC. 

      We also offer online resources to help you see how your credits are going to transfer. If you are transferring from a Kansas City area community college, begin with our Transfer Guides. If you are outside the Kansas City area or have attended multiple colleges/universities, please use Transferology.
