Transfer Student Visit Options

Come for a Visit and See Campus!

Roo Visits
Roo Visits are our general admissions visits for any student interested in attending UMKC. Visitors will receive a 30 minute presentation that provides a general overview of UMKC and the admissions' process. This is then followed by a campus tour (approx. one hour) that covers are beautiful UMKC grounds.

Academic Unit Specific Roo Visits
These are roo visits accompanied by presentation/introduction to a specific academic unit at UMKC! Students receive a 30 minute presentation on a general overview of UMKC and admissions, a campus tour, and then getting connect with the Academic Unit Representative(s) for an additional presentation on that academic units specific majors and programs.

Transfer Application Workshops
Transfer Application Workshops focus on the application solely and are offered to assist transfer students with understanding what materials are needed for a successful submission of the application to be formally reviewed by the Office of Admissions to receive an admission decision.

*This session is offered in the Transfer Thursday as well. No need to sign up for both.

Transfer Thursdays for MCC, JCCC, or KCKCC
UMKC loves our local two-year institutions and we work well with those college credits. These days are focused specifically for MCC, JCCC, or KCKCC students. At this virtual event, you can sign up for a 1:1 with a representative from your intended major, connect with additional campus partners, and then work with UMKC Office of Admissions on a successful application submission.


Discover UMKC
Virtual Discover UMKC focuses on topics that you want to explore in your college search, including an introductions to academics and Campus life at UMKC. This week long program will provide you with access to academic representatives, campus resources, current UMKC students, and a presentations for how you can prepare to apply to UMKC. 

Experience UMKC

Experience UMKC is for admitted undergraduate students and their families in all academic units except the School of Medicine and the Conservatory. The event is highly recommended for students who have yet to visit UMKC's campus and/or who are still considering where they want to attend college.
