      You will begin your UMKC visit with optional lunch in the UMKC Dining Hall at 12pm and our Roo Visit presentation, which will begin promptly at 1pm. During the Roo portion you will learn about the admissions process and financial aid through our overview presentation and take a walking tour of campus led by a current Student Ambassador.

      The second portion of your visit will be with theBachelor of Health Sciences (BHS) which is part of the School of Nursing and Health Studies, but it is not a nursing degree. The BHS degree blends coursework with service learning, volunteerism and a senior internship, which prepares students for a variety of careers in health or for a post-graduate education.

      The Bachelor of Public Health (BSPH) degree offers a comprehensive science-based curriculum that includes the physical, biological, behavioral and social aspects of health, preparing students for a wide variety of careers in public health or to pursue post-graduate education. The BSPH degree is not a nursing degree.

      *Participants will visit both UMKC’s Volker and Health Sciences Campuses during this visit, which is about a 15 minute drive.
